Ikebana-Inspired Floral Workshop
Ikebana-Inspired Floral Workshop
It has been a long, snowy winter - and we’re craving light, color, and the promise of spring. We hope you’ll join us for an intimate floral experience inspired by the Japanese tradition of mindful design.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Gather in the upstairs private room at River Bar - a cozy, light-filled space with views of the river - for a relaxed, creative afternoon. We’ll create artful arrangements while enjoying wine and light bites and soaking in the first signs of the season to come.
This workshop offers guided instruction by Stephanie of Echo Rock Flowers in ikebana design and hands-on work using custom-made ceramic vessels, made by artisans from Ahmee Ceramics (Stonington, CT). Each participant will receive their own vessel, a flower frog (kenzan), plus thoughtfully selected stems and branches for designing a unique and intentional floral arrangement.
Whether you’ve never arranged flowers before or have some experience, this workshop invites you to slow down, observe, and let the natural lines and seasonal mood guide your creation. It’s just what we all need after a long, cold winter!
